Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 855 plus with overclocked CPU and GPU

Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 855 plus a refreshed version of its Flagship Soc ‘System on chip’ ,aimed gaming smartphones the snapdragon 855 plus is snapdragon 855 with core speed boost from 2,48 GHz to 2,96 GHz . other than that the basic CPU layout remain unchanged ‘still 8 core CPU at 7 NM’ .

this speed gains from the differences in the manufacturing process mostly new silicon material used .

in terms of GPU the Snapdragon 855 plus still use Adreno 640 GPU with speed boost from 585 MHz to 672 MHz or 675 MHz 15% increase in graphic performance .

the snapdragon 855 plus has an improved AI engine but the Soc will still use the x24 modem just like the standard snapdragon 855 .

the snapdragon 855 plus is basically an overclocked version of the snapdragon 855 with 15% CPU and 15% GPU increase .

we will see it soon in the new gaming phones like Asus Rog 2 and Xiaomi Blackshark 2 pro .

but the question remain is it worth the upgrade ?
